To everyone interested, even though I teach piano, vocal and theory. I am also taking lessons just like the rest of you. As you know I believe that if you stop learning, you stop living.
Well, I am taking flute lessons, and it is definitely not an easy instrument to learn. Not only to I have to rethink finger numbers, which I teach on a daily basis, but I have to remember new fingering and to breathe. I know that Shiori is doing her best with me, and I am so thankful that she is willing to take the time to teach an old dog like me, but I made a promise to never stop learning and I won't. I encourage all our students to try a new instrument every once in a while, especially if you have been learning one instrument for a while. You might discover that it helps with your main instrument. I will give every existing student a free trial lesson in an instrument that they have never played before :D |
